DR. WILLIAM TUCKER

Dr. William Tucker born and raised in Syracuse , NY is a graduate of Nottingham High School, Swarthmore College, University of Virginia Medical School, University of Rochester (Strong Memorial Hospital) Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and University of Washington Residency in Ophthalmology and research fellowship. He achieved board certification in Ophthalmology as well as Internal Medicine, a rare double board certification.

Even more rare is having a private audience with the Dalai Lama an entire afternoon. In spite of some superficial differences, Dr. Tucker found they share many similar life views, and now mutual respect. Dr. Tucker has practiced ophthalmology in the Syracuse area since 1988, treating patients with eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, Dry Eye and macular degeneration. He provides eye care to patients of all ages, including children, especially patients with emergency eye problems. Dr. Tucker's medical training has thoroughly prepared him to care for his patients. His family taught him the importance of helping others. Carrying on his family tradition, Dr. Tucker supports numerous charities, locally, nationally and internationally.  This includes the Dalai Lama.
